These terms govern your use of octopod.productions, run by Octopod Productions d.o.o., Ljudevita Gaja 43, Mala Gorica, 10431 Sveta Nedelja, Croatia. They cover the website only. Production work, commissions and co-productions are governed by the separate written contract we sign for that project — nothing here overrides it.
1. What this site is
It is an informational site about our company, our team and work we have contributed to. There is nothing to buy here, no account to open, and no service delivered through it beyond letting you read the pages and send us a message.
2. Intellectual property
The text, design and layout of this site belong to us. You may read, quote and link to it — quoting a passage with attribution is fine and needs no permission. Republishing substantial parts as your own is not.
**Film titles, stills, posters and key art shown in the Work section remain the property of the respective producers and rights holders.** They appear here to document our team's crew credits on those productions. Nothing on this page transfers any right in them, and they must not be reused from this site.
3. Accuracy
We try to keep credits, dates and festival information correct, and we take corrections seriously — if something about a film or a credit is wrong, please tell us and we will fix it. That aside, the site is provided as is and we give no warranty that it is complete or error-free.
4. Sending us ideas or material
Please do not send unsolicited treatments, scripts or project ideas through the contact form. We cannot treat them as confidential and we will not sign an NDA retrospectively. If you want to pitch something, write and ask first, and we will agree in writing how to handle it before you send anything.
Material you send anyway remains yours — we claim no licence over it — but we accept no obligation of confidence and no liability if we are separately developing something similar.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the contact form to send unlawful, abusive or bulk unsolicited material, and do not attempt to disrupt, scrape or gain unauthorised access to the site. We rate-limit submissions and may block addresses that abuse the form.
6. Liability
We are liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for anything that cannot be excluded under mandatory Croatian law — including harm to life, body or health, and liability under consumer-protection rules. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the Croatian Consumer Protection Act (Zakon o zaštiti potrošača) or other mandatory law. Where a clause here conflicts with such a right, that right prevails.
7. Links to other sites
We link to festivals, broadcasters and film catalogues. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their terms.
8. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw the site or any part of it at any time. We will update these terms as needed; the date at the top is the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
9. Governing law and disputes
Croatian law applies. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence and you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country — otherwise the courts of Zagreb have jurisdiction. Consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
